ALTA VOCE Avocats attaches the utmost importance to the protection of the personal data of its contacts, in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and French Law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended.

2. Data collected

The firm may collect the following categories of data:

  • identification data: title, surname, first name;

  • contact data: email address, telephone number, company;

  • content of messages sent via the contact form;

  • technical navigation data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected via cookies, under the conditions set out in our cookies policy.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Responding to requests submitted via the contact form — legal basis: consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR) and pre-contractual measures (art. 6.1.b GDPR).

  • Managing the relationship with the firm's clients — legal basis: performance of the contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR) and compliance with the legal and professional obligations applicable to lawyers (art. 6.1.c GDPR).

  • Ensuring the security of the site and improving its operation — legal basis: legitimate interest of the firm (art. 6.1.f GDPR).

4. Retention periods

  • Contact form requests: duration of processing of the request plus three (3) years from last contact.

  • Data relating to an open file: duration of performance of the mandate, then retention in accordance with the legal and professional obligations applicable to the legal profession.

  • Connection data: in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

5. Recipients

Data is intended solely for the firm's authorised lawyers and staff, and its technical subcontractors (host, email provider, professional tools), acting on the firm's instructions and bound by an equivalent level of security. No data is transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

Data is hosted within the European Union. Any transfer outside the EU would be governed by the appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR.

6. Security

The firm implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the personal data processed and to prevent unauthorised access.

7. Rights of data subjects

In accordance with articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data:

  • right of access;

  • right to rectification;

  • right to erasure;

  • right to restriction of processing;

  • right to object;

  • right to portability;

  • right to define directives regarding the fate of your data after your death;

  • right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
